2019 Coates Stuckey Memorial Award

Latisha Georgetown

The Coates Stuckey Memorial Award recognizes a Direct Support Professional who is in direct contact with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has made a significant positive change in people’s lives.

Latisha wrote a beautiful poem entitled "I Am", that was meant to inspire and energize direct care staff.  She read her poem to the attendees during the conference and proved that she was the most deserving of this honor.
