Sharon Delvisco The Maurice Dayan Education Award is presented to a worthy candidate for significant contributions in the dissemination of information about intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sharon has provided supported employment, supported living, community connections, mentoring, behavior and life skills support for people with all abilities, their families and the agencies that provide services so that people can live in the community. She believes all people should be supported to live the lifestyle of their choice. "Separate is not equal” is the guiding principle for all her work and advocacy efforts in the human services field.Sharon has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Orleans, a master’s degree in social work from Southern University at New Orleans, and expects to complete her doctorate in social work in 2020. She is currently employed as the Training and Education Coordinator/Associate Event Planner with Team Dynamics, LLC.
